Sunday - Volatile Sep

The market doesn't always go up smoothly. This month has been volatile and it could go on for a while. Main US indexes finished slightly lower on Fri and dollar was about flat. Crude and crypto were a bit under pressure.

US Farmers had their third bail out ($14 billion). The funny thing about it is that China has major farm lands in US; so much for the China deal! As long as federal reserve keeps printing, this paradigm will get applied to other industries too; i.e. airlines.

Trump blesses Oracle's TikTok, leaving Microsoft a looser. Snowflake IPO doubled this week; for those who could get on the initial deal though, not us. I think we should wait a bit for SNOW to drop before riding it. Similar case for Unity Software Inc (U).

Biden's chances for a 2021 presidency is growing; currently ahead of the Donald. Saudi building the city of future, the Neom.

Let me know what you think.

Keep smiling and stay charitable.

  1. Hi,
I migrated here from Surjit’s blog. I like the fact that you’re posting daily. Hopefully we can get some fruitful discussions going as more people continue to join. I guess what really attracts people is the prospect of getting immediate short term suggestions on market movement so they can make a quick buck. I’d like to be in for the long haul but these are some choppy waters.
I have not heard from any experts in a while so here’s my 2 cents. The VIX seems to have broken through and holding steady below the 100 dma. I think we’ll have an up day tomorrow and possibly day after before another rejection from 11000 by the end of the week.

    1. Hi Chin, I appreciate the move.
That's my intention too; to have a quick read for followers, on daily basis, and have a confident view on what's going on before the market opens in north America.
